how to keep a track on current affairs?
Newspapers and Magazines are the main tools to keep track of current affairs. But the difficulty arises when aspirants get busy with study of GS and Optional papers and cant find time to read Newspapers regularly. On the other side Reading newspapers or Magazines beyond 45 minutes to 1 Hour affects the schedule of studying other subjects. So we need to be Regular as well as strategic while covering current affairs to improve our performance in Prelims, Mains, and Interview
Things to do
- First thing is to assign the fixed time 45 – 60 mins for covering current affairs through The Hindu and Magazine like Yojana and Kurukshetra. That time slot can be spared in morning or evening on your convenience.
- Second step is to memorize the syllabus and go through previous year questions asked in CSE Prelims & Mains to identify the relevant news and the desired perspective to analyze it.
- Third thing is to keep Notes of current affairs so that you can revise and recall them before the exams.
Keeping these things in mind you will be regular as well as meet the demands of the exam.
